Historically, Khan Krum, also known as Krum the Fearsome, was the formidable ruler of Bulgaria between 796-803 until his death in 814.
In this project, I reimagined him as a powerful and majestic character.
.
In this updated design, I wanted to capture both his historical persona—an intimidating and strategic leader—while integrating a bit of the whimsical energy from my short film. Krum is depicted as a wise and commanding presence, watching over the events of the story with a keen and calculating eye.
.
I focused on:
Armor design inspired by medieval Bulgarian elements.
A distinct regal posture that exudes authority and strength.
Subtle facial expressions that reflect both his wisdom and ruthlessness.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this version of Khan Krum!
